Songs For The Gathering

Man of constant sorrow

I am a man of constant sorrow, I’ve seen trouble all my day I bid farewell to old Kentucky, The place where I was born and raised

(The place where he was born and raised)

For six long years I’ve been in trouble, No pleasures here on earth I found For in this world I’m bound to ramble, I have no friends to help me now

(He has no friends to help him now)

It’s fare thee well my old lover I never expect to see you again For I’m bound to ride that northern railroad, Perhaps I’ll die upon this train

(Perhaps he’ll die upon this train)

You can bury me in some deep valley, For many years where I may lay Then you may learn to love another, While I am sleeping in my grave

(While he is sleeping in his grave)

Maybe your friends think I’m just a stranger My face, you’ll never see no more But there is one promise that is given I’ll meet you on God’s golden shore

(He’ll meet you on God’s golden shore)

You are so good to me

You are beautiful my sweet, sweet song (3x)

I will sing again

You are so good to me, you heal my broken heart you are my Father in Heaven

You ride upon the clouds, you lead me to the truth, you are the Holy Spirit inside me

You poured out all your blood, you died upon the cross, you are my Jesus who loves me

You are my strong melody

You are my dancing rhythm

You are my perfect rhyme

And I will sing of you forever

Precious in God's sight

Precious in God’s sight, is the death of his saints

Those who waged life’s final battle, overcome life’s last restraint

Though we have great sorrow, we have hope beyond the grave, if the words of God we follow, only priceless jewels remain

It is granted unto man, to live then to die, God’s only son will render judgment, not one sparrow fails his eye

Absent from this body, we are present with the Lord, to gather in his Kingdom, in final blessed accord.

All praise to the Father, who does all things well

For the comfort of his Spirit, more than mortal words can tell

To the Son who died to save us, his blood atones for all men fail

Precious in God’s sight is the lives of his Children.

Better @ Nothin

If You’re still into trying, try being faster @ slow

In Lieu of something new, finish something you know

The best things in life freely-flow, like music in your soul

If you must try again, try getting better (3x) better @ nothin

Are you out to improve, who you already are?

You can’t change the distance, you’ve traveled this far

How many more strokes will it take, until you break par?

Before you tee-it-up again, get better (3x) better @ nothin

What do you have, what can you add, what do you hold that makes you sad?

When you are done, when all is said, when you look back, what’s living what’s dead?

Here I am without one plea

But that your blood was shed for me

Nothing in my hand I bring,

Only to your cross I cling

That’s better (3x) better than anything

Step away from time & space, slip into the secret place, present on the Father’s terms; no fear, no prayer, no script to learn

Ask exactly what you want, undeterred by what you’re not, the One who can do anything, awaits your version of His dreams

That’s better (3X) better @ nothing

Yoke is easy - Burden is light

When you’re wandering, waiting, wondering, wanting to do what’s right

My yoke is easy, my burden is light

When you’re seeking, sorting, searching, saying please turen faith to sight

My yoke is easy – my burden is light

What is the righteous on to do, when you fail your own review?

The hardest thing to shake, is your next mistake

My yoke is easy – my burden is light

To tell yourself the truth, is the fountain of youth

When evil comes @ you, love is your rebuke

My yoke is easy – my burden is light

Take me up on this, it’s easy your might miss, the beauty of this bliss, put away your list

You’ve turned the other cheek, sided with the meek, logged the extra miles, gone from strong to weak

My yoke is easy – my burden is light

He reigns

It’s the song of the redeemed, rising from the African plain

It’s the song of the forgiven, drowning out the Amazon rain

The song of Asian believers, filled with God’s holy fire

It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation a love song born of a grateful choir

It’s all God’s children signing glory, glory, hallelujah He reigns, He reigns

Let it rise above the four winds, caught up in the heavenly sound

Let praises echo from the towers of cathedrals, to the faithful gathered underground

Of all the songs sung from the dawn of creation, some were meant to persist

Of all the bells rung from a thousand steeples, none rings truer than this

And all the powers of darkness, tremble at what they’ve just heard

‘Cause all the powers of darkness, can’t drown out a single word

All my hope

I’ve been held by the Savior, I’ve felt the fire from above

I’ve been down to the river, I ain’t the same, a prodigal returned

All my hope is in Jesus, thank God that yesterday’s gone, all my sins are forgiven, I’ve been washed by the blood

I’m no stranger to prison, I’ve worn shackles and chains

I’ve been freed and forgiven, and I'[m not going back, I’ll never be the same – That’s why I sing

There’s a kind of thing that just breaks a man, breaks him down to his knees

God, I’ve been broken more than a time or two, yes Lord He picked me up and showed me what it means to be a man – come on and sing

What kind of love - Your love O Lord

What kind of love is this, that forgives my sin

Lifts me up from the ashes, and welcomes me in

Only the love of God

Only the blood of Christ

Only the love of God

Poured from his sacrifice

What kind of love is this, that takes away my shame, gives me back my worth, calls me by my name

Your love O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness, stretches to the sky

Your righteousness, is like the mighty mountains, your justice flows like the oceans tide

I will lift my voice, to worship you my King

I will find my strength in the shadow of your wings

Is He worthy

Do you feel the world is broken?
(We do)
Do you feel the shadows deepen?
(We do)
But do you know that all the dark won't stop the light from getting through?
(We do)
Do you wish that you could see it all made new?
(We do)

Is all creation groaning?
(It is)
Is a new creation coming?
(It is)
Is the glory of the Lord to be the light within our midst?
(It is)
Is it good that we remind ourselves of this?
(It is)

Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?
The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave
He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave

Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
Of all blessing and honor and glory
Is He worthy of this?
He is

Does the Father truly love us?
(He does)
Does the Spirit move among us?
(He does)
And does Jesus, our Messiah hold forever those He loves?
(He does)
Does our God intend to dwell again with us?
(He does)

Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?
The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave
He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave
From every people and tribe
Every nation and tongue
He has made us a kingdom and priests to God
To reign with the Son

Is He worthy?Is He worthy?
Of all blessing and honor and glory
Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
Is He worthy of this?
He is!
Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
He is!
He is!
